Week One at C.E.S. -RESPECT

The word for the first week of school is R-E-S-P-E-C-T! Students are learning the school routines and their three school rules this week. They are:
1. Respect Yourself
2. Respect Others
3. Respect Property.

Since these rules are applied differently for each areas of the school, they are written and posted.  There are signs for the hallways,  bathroom, lunchroom, library and classrooms.   These three rules apply in different ways to all areas of the school through out the day.  Students who follow their rules are rewarded with verbal praise and “GOTCHA” rewards and parties. Please look for their "GOTCHA” slips and praise them for making good choices.

You’ve heard it said that you are your child’s first and most important teacher. Research shows that when you reinforce learning at home your child is more likely to succeed in school. This applies to reading, math, and respect.

You can continue this discussion about respect in your home by:
Discussing following rules, both school and home with your child.
Talking positively about school, assignments, and staff.
Expecting your child to show respect not only when you are watching but especially when you are not.

We are off to a great start working together.
